The coaching clinics are designed to help coaches develop a sound understanding of how to coach the event, building on the technical content presented on the Coaching Assistant and Athletics Coach Award.

These training and education opportunities are aimed to bring together coaches and their athletes to train and develop expertise in their respective fields of interest. The sessions will involve practical activities using athletes to demonstrate key coaching points with clear take home messages for both coach and athlete going forward.

Who will deliver: The session will be delivered by experienced, national-level coaches who will clearly and simply demonstrate how to develop efficient and effective techniques for Jumps and Pole Vault within a club environment.

Who can attend

Coaches with a Coaching Assistant and Athletics Coach qualification (or equivalent).

Coaches can bring an athlete (boys >1.70m, girls >1.45m) as a demonstrator on the day.

This workshop will run from 10am to 1pm

Places are free to scottishathletics coach members with a valid coaching licence.
